About Us
Durion is an energy technology company in White River Junction, Vermont, incorporated in 2023 and founded out of Norwich Technologies. We help industrial plants cut fuel costs and decarbonize process heat with long-duration thermal storage, so you can run on clean, off-peak energy 24/7.
The Team
Durion was founded by engineers and operators who have taken clean energy hardware from the lab to the field before. Our team has developed more than $1 Billion in renewable energy projects over the course of their careers, and have founded and built clean technology companies in storage, wind, and solar. Among us are a PhD from Dartmouth’s Thayer School, chief technology officers, customer service professionals, and patent holders across thermal storage, microgrid control, solar, and wind.
Proprietary Technology
Your engineers will recognize what this is made of. We store energy as pressurized hot water at up to 300°C, for 15 hours or more allowing for 24/7 clean energy on your schedule. It’s stored in API 5L line pipe divided by a patented traveling separator piston. It is a spec you may already have in your plant.
