How It Works
Heat comes from energy stored right next to your plant. We charge the storage when power is cheapest and cleanest to help maximize value, whether that is off-peak grid electricity or onsite solar, and we hold it as pressurized hot water at up to 300°C for 15 hours or more.
Then, based on your demand, heat arrives at the header as steam or hot water, at the pressure and temperature you specify, through a heat exchanger with closed-loop water on our side. The plant gains a second independent source of heat. Learn more about the industries we support.
The storage itself is pressurized hot water inside horizontal sections of insulated API 5L line pipe, divided by a patented traveling separator piston. It is a spec your engineers may already recognize.
